Add ORGANIC to goals and conditions or things you want that would add lots of points
Knowing what brands of food are organic and the value of those organic products would be great knowledge! i think its imperative that you add the organic option to the things you want column
Status: under reviewWe'd love to be able to add that, too. We're thinking about the best way to make this possible. Thanks for the suggestion!

i love your site, but i am allergic to corn. i need food items analyzed to show me details about corn or corn-based ingredients. In USA, this is extremely difficult!

LOCALLY PRODUCED
In addition to HOW it's produced, an option for WHERE it's produced would help to support small, local agriculture. Tie this in with the organic, grass fed, no hormones, etc., and you have an incredibly powerful AND empowering website.

Add Omega-3
Important part of a diet and not only found in fish, so if can't find a sustainable fish option, good to know what other types of foods have this - avocado? various nuts?

Low glycaemic index (low GI) or low glycaemic load (low GL)
Not as simple as low-carb diets, identifying low-GI/-GL products can help those trying to follow an eating plan centred around this scientific approach to weight loss and food management. See http://www.glycemicindex.com/ for more.

Add a 'how its produced' filter
What with the wide variety of production methods, it would be nice to sort food by say: organic/non-organic, exclusion of pesticides, antibiotics. Grass fed and finished beef vs. grain/corn fed. Free range vs. cage raised chicken and eggs, etc.

Taste filter, with community/user generated taste ratings
Can Shopwell include a taste filter, and then allow users to rate the taste of food items contained in the database? Since taste is one of, if not the most important factors in determining food and beverage purchase and consumption, this would be an extremely valuable addition to the rating… more
Status: under reviewYes, we see great importance in a community generated taste rating system and hope to implement this in the future. Thanks for the suggestion! It's on our radar.

low to no sodium, low to no msg
On 2200 mg salt diet for heart condition; would like a "don't want" option for salt. Although low sodium is shown as request, searches brought back far too many items and most with high sodium level. Would take too much time to use this site and sort through all returned… more
Status: plannedYes, we realized that just "want low sodium" wasn't adequate so our next site update that should be live next week will provide a "don't want high sodium" option. Hopefully, this helps you weed out many of the products! The best way to use it will be to select "don't want high sodium" and then use the filters on the upper right of the search results page to hide products with an "X." We hope this improves your site experience! Also, we hope to add an MSG filter in the near future. Thanks for the note.
